We willen graag de mensen achter het boek zichtbaar maken. Want Apostelkind gaat bij uitstek over de mensen die tot nu toe onzichtbaar waren. Mensen die zich geen ‘ik’ voelden, maar een ‘wij’.
Mensen voor wie er een wereld van herkenning opengaat, voor wie er ineens allerlei kwartjes vallen, en die elkaar vinden. Die het gesprek met elkaar aangaan op sociale media, maar ook binnen hun eigen familie en kennissenkring.
We zijn helemaal niet alleen, met ons eigen verhaal. We zijn zeker met honderden, misschien zelfs duizenden.
Op deze website plaatsen we een collage, die steeds groter zal worden. Als je je foto wilt insturen, dan kan dat. Als je niet herkenbaar in beeld wilt, dan hoeft dat niet.

Mijn naam is Geer Mol en ik maak graag dagelijks kunst met een politieke lading en dat betekent, dat er véél woorden in voorkomen als dwang, militarisme met dominantie en schrikbewind, afpersing en slavernij, hoge druk en absolutisme !
Het is, denk ik, conceptueel en past zich dagelijks aan mijn gevoelens hierbij aan en toont mijn beladen gevoel als vrouw.
Het is een interessant proces, ik lees nu veel over mijn thema’s en ben ook heel benieuwd waar mijn situatie heen gaat !

This is a lovely idea.
But it does leave some people out still. Those Apostel children that are not and never have been Dutch. We are still affected by this as well. I do not have access to the book and it would be difficult to read if I did.
Please just be sure to not make reading or having the book a pre-requisite to being a ‘real’ Apostelchild.

Hi Regina, I understand what you’re saying.
The picture-project is about visibility of the people who didn’t go to Baarn to talk to the apostel. For all sorts of reasons. People who want to support the book and want to show they are there.
But in this project the book is ‘just’ a symbol. If you don’t have it, you could pick another symbol, or a picture of the book, or just send a picture of you.
So it’s all about inclusion. But if you don’t want to be, that’s also completely fine.
The book is a symbol. A symbol of what has happend to us. To be an Apostelkind you do not have to have read the book. You could make a picture with you and the book cover on tablet if you wish, to make a statement. That is what this is all about, to show us. Not 38. Not 2%. But many more standing up now and reclaiming the truth.
